How to incorporate bold colors into your life.
If you have a scheme of black and white, try a punchy yellow, like Voice of Color's Forsythia Blossom.  It will make anyone smile. One accent wall in this big color is enough to create an atmosphere of happy, sunny, and feel good.
Use the 60:30:10 Harmony rule for color designing your space. It's not all about one color, and not all just choosing the color for the wall. Think of all your design elements.
In the above photo, the 30% color is Forsythia Blossom, the 60% color (all represented in the furniture and oversized accessories) is Gypsum (white), and the 10% color is Dark Granite (brown throw rug).
